White Spiral
Posted in equipment on 02/09/2010 12:17 pm by adminWhy do certain spiral, self-ballasted lamp bulbs appear more yellowish instead of the bright white?
checking the listed information, I found two very simular bulbs, both listed 23w 120v 60Hz 0.330A. One is bright white when on and the other is more dim, almost a sickly yellowish color. The thing is I have other bulbs, all listed like this or with less amps (180mA) that all burn yellowish, the only difference is on the bright white, below the listed info, a number 6500K, the other has 2700K. What is this?
Well... you could ask at a lighting shop?
In my experience these type of lights (energy saving?), have at least three different colour 'white'
from yellowish to bright - "Cool White".
In fluro lights, you can also obtain "Daylight", which, when on looks a blueish colour.
I would say the difference in all the colours would be for different effects, 'moods'.
