I have a Yamaha KT100 crank that I want to install a new rod, connecting rod bearings and spacers. I have a 12-ton press and probably all the necessary tools, but I'm not sure what the procedure current. Do I need to heat all the rooms? How much clearance should have the new bearing?
there is actually a special tool that you put between half the crankshaft before you press the pin and also for pressing together again, if you do not use it, you risk screwing up the crank, you must balance it and get the correct short, I use a lathe and a dial indicator me, but I have a machine shop complete, you can find someone who has experience with crankshafts.
