Hello, I'm John J. Janssen and I am running for Congress in Virginia's 2nd Congressional District as a Republican. As a retired 8-year Navy SEAL Officer (SEAL Teams 3 & 7, Special Warfare Development Group) and veteran of OIF and OEF I know the meaning of hard work and sacrifice for one's country. I currently work as hedge fund manager with D.E. Shaw & Co. in Washington, DC and live with my wife and son in Virginia Beach, VA. I attended school at the United States Naval Academy (B.S) and MIT Sloan (MBA).
My biggest issue in America is our spiraling national debt and deficit, which if elected to Congress, I will make every effort to ensure that we don't saddle future generations with our debt or lose our competitiveness in the globalized market place while ensuring that no American receive a tax increase.
Our biggest problem is the goddammed lying politicians and their wasteful spending. they are destroying this country and the rat-bastards all should be booted out of office.
