Jet Rolls

Is it capable of doing quick tight small turn and doing barrel rolls and stuff like that or does it maneuver like a passenger jet?
No, not like a typical, hard turning fighter like we've all come to love. I'm sure they can do more than is called for in their normal duties though.
As far as the comment about the Phoenix missile, here's the skinny. The Phoenix (AIM-54) was based on the similar AIM-47 missile. The AIM-47 was developed for the experimental Mach-3 Lockheed YF-12 interceptor version of the SR-71.
The YF-12 wasn't meant to carry the Phoenix. The F-111B (Navy version) was designed to carry the Phoenix, but never went into production. The F-14 ended up being the only aircraft to fly them other than the NA-3A test aircraft that fired them.
