Camouflage Dog
Posted in equipment on 11/02/2009 12:54 am by adminAre there household scents that can actually damage a dog's sense of smell? Help.?
I've heard that dogs don't like the smell of chili pepper and ammonia, but what can damage their sense of smell? Or is there a scent that camouflages other scents? I'm writing a book and was just curious. Thanks for any help.
There's an old myth that when a dog eats cheese over time, it lessens their sense of smell. I don't think that there's anything that can camouflage scents. Maybe if a dog was tracking a smell and whatever it was tracking went across water, then the scent would be lost. I read about drug dealers who tried soaking their drugs with perfume and the dogs still easily found it. Their noses are a thousand times stronger than a humans, so it's no wonder.
