I a subwoofer the hooks with red (positive) and black (Negative) son of audio. My receiver can connect a subwoofer with a plug. How can I rewire the cable to run them? Need to have one end red / black and the other end with men? Please help!
Chris is almost ..... If your right sub has 2 inputs you must still ensure that you connenct good port of the receiver to the sub. If the receiver has only 1 sub out, you need to communicate that in the sub on the terminal that is labeled LFE. (Low Frequency Effects) If you connect the wrong, you can damage the sub. If your sub has an entry, then it is taking LFE. Do not use Y adapters or force to separate two signals 1 or vice versa. If your sub has 2 inputs, but your receiver has only one sub output, connect only the LFE channel. The other line is not needed and is only used if a receiver has 2 outputs in (most do not leave so much that the plug only)
